These Terms of Service explain the basic terms for using Video Header, a Shopify app that adds a video header section to your Shopify theme.

Using Video Header

Video Header is provided to help Shopify merchants add a clean video section above or near their store header without editing theme code.

You are responsible for how you configure the app, the videos or media you use, and ensuring that your store content complies with any laws, platform rules, or third-party rights that apply to your business.

Shopify theme compatibility

Video Header is designed for Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes and has been tested with Dawn, Taste, Studio, Savor, and Horizon.

Shopify themes can vary, especially if they are heavily customised. We aim to support common Shopify theme setups, but we cannot guarantee that every custom theme will behave exactly the same.

Video services and third-party content

Video Header supports Shopify-hosted videos, Vimeo, and YouTube. Shopify-hosted video is recommended for the cleanest result.

If you use third-party services such as Vimeo or YouTube, those services may show their own player interface, overlays, branding, or controls. Their behaviour is controlled by those platforms and may change over time.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

If Video Header is offered with a free trial or paid subscription, billing is managed through Shopify.

If you do not cancel before the end of a free trial period, Shopify may charge you according to the subscription plan shown at the time of installation.

You can cancel the app by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. Subscription billing and cancellation are handled through Shopify’s app billing system.

We will make reasonable efforts to help with setup issues, theme display issues, and questions about using the app. Custom Shopify development, theme modifications, product imports, or store setup work may be quoted separately.

Changes to the app

We may update, improve, change, or remove app features over time. We aim to keep the app simple, useful, and compatible with supported Shopify themes where practical.

Limitation of liability

Video Header is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Shopify theme or custom store setup.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses that may result from using or being unable to use the app.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping backups of your theme where appropriate, reviewing changes before publishing them, and ensuring that any videos, images, links, or other content you use are lawful and appropriate for your store.

You should test the app on your theme before relying on it for a live campaign or important store launch.

Termination

You may stop using Video Header at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We may restrict access to the app if it is misused, abused, or used in a way that interferes with the app, Shopify, or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
